I have watched The Godfather more times than I can count and I notice something new every time. The cinematography by Gordon Willis, the score by Nino Rota, the editing — every technical element is flawless. The baptism sequence intercutting the murders remains one of the greatest pieces of filmmaking ever created.

The Godfather is the greatest film ever made. Not a debate — a fact. Francis Ford Coppola took Mario Puzo's novel and created something that transcends the crime genre entirely. It is a film about family, power, and the corruption of the American dream. Marlon Brando and Al Pacino give two of the greatest performances in cinema history. Everything about this film is perfect.
