In Fort Bragg, California, a former town dump that operated until the early 1900s has become famed for its glistening coastline, scattered with thousands of pieces of colorful sea glass. For decades, the waves at Glass Beach have eroded shards of broken glass into smooth pebbles, transforming the landscape by turning trash into jewel-like forms.
